New York City – January 26, 2011 Petals-N-Belles, Inc. ‘LIMITLESS’ launch event held Tuesday evening at New York City’s Inc Lounge raised over $2K to help support the 2011 mentorship programs. The evening, attended by over 100 guests, was hosted by WBLS Radio/National TV personality and Editor-in-Chief of EgyptSaidSo.com Egypt Sherrod.
Guests included LIMITLESS Host Committee members Jason Bolden, Owner/CEO Jason Bolden Designs; Jodi Brockington, Principal & Connector, NIARA Consulting; Janel Jones, Founder, Zing Events; Demetria Lucas, Essence Magazine/A Belle In Brooklyn, Larry Ossei-Mensah, writer, Centric TV & Arise Magazine and special guest performer and spoken- word artist Shanelle Gabrielle.
Attendees to the event had the opportunity to speak with a few of the exceptional young women participating in Petals-N-Belles programs as well as speak personally with the Founder of Petals-N-Belles, Inc., Damali Elliot and Executive Director E. Isis Adewale. On the purpose and passion behind the organization, Damali Elliot says, “Every young woman has a dream. Some face challenges on the way to making those dreams a reality. Petals-N-Belles is designed to provide the necessary tools that will instill in our young women a relentless and resilient attitude! Through partnerships within our communities, schools and the families of the young women we serve; we insure that every voice will be heard, every dream will be met and generations to come will reap the benefits.”

(PNB) founded in 2010 in response to the need of young women in our communities to be provided with more support, leadership and positive role models, is dedicated to providing young women, ages 12-22, with an authentic mentoring experience.
